KCIC represents six established industrial districts within Kansas City, Missouri. However, our members can be found on both sides of the state line, and in many areas of the metro that are not specifically industrial.
Northeast Industrial Area
Represents 75 businesses located in Northeast area, bounded by Missouri River to north, I-35 to the west and straddles I-435 to the east.
Historic West Bottoms Industrial Area
The original business and industrial center of Kansas City, Historic West Bottoms, has witnessed major regrowth with planned investments of more than $200 million.
Blue Valley Industrial Area
Blue Valley Industrial Association represents the largest industrial and commercial area within the city limits of KCMO. Area extends from the bluffs in the north to 63rd Street in the south, following the Blue River and I-435.
Bi-State Turkey Creek Industrial Area
Area straddling both sides of the state line running along Turkey Creek. Businesses in the area successfully banded together to lobby for flood protection in the area.
Swope Park Industrial Area
Business park located south of 63rd St along 71 Highway comprised of various lean manufacturing facilities.
Dodson Industrial Area
Unique mix of industrial, commercial and retail businesses located in the southeast area of Kansas City, Mo.
