Each year, the Kansas City Industrial Council (KCIC) recognizes businesses that have made significant investments in green initiatives over the last year with a KCIC Sustainability Award. This year’s award winners will be recognized at the 7th annual 2017 Sustainability Awards breakfast on Thurs., Oct. 26th at 7:30 am in the Chamber of Commerce Board Room in Union Station.
Matthew DiGeronimo, Vice President of Operations for Veolia North America, will be the keynote speaker presenting ““From Operational Excellence to Environmental Excellence.” DiGeronimo is a nuclear engineer, a retired US Naval officer and co-authored the book Extreme Operational Excellence: Applying the US Nuclear Submarine Culture to Your Organization. He will speak on the importance of measuring everything in operations and the opportunities KCIC members should consider when improving their own building’s efficiency to achieve extreme operational excellence.
