Welcome to the new member minute!
We asked new members some questions about themselves and their business. Read on and get to know the newest members to the Kansas City Industrial Council.

Jennifer Watson is the Director of Communication & Outreach for Frontier Schools, located in the Northeast Industrial District.
Why did you decide to join KCIC?
I serve on the Northeast Industrial Area (NEIA) board. Many NEIA board members either sit on the KCIC board or are members. I saw it as a great opportunity to bring community into our schools. The networking aspect has been incredible in sharing the Frontier story with others. We welcome help from the community in many ways. People mentor, tutor, participate in our career fairs and partner at our KC STEM Fest.
Tell us a bit about you.
I have two daughters. My oldest is 22 years old. In May, she will graduate with a degree in finance and recently just bought her first home. My youngest daughter is finishing her Associates Degree at Longview community college so that she can start a Veterinary Tech program with Foster Hill in the fall. I am very proud of both of them.
Where do you live?
I live in Lee’s Summit, MO.
When you’re not at work or spreading the KCIC news, you are…
Bike riding, reading, hosting a designated dinner night every Wednesday and Sunday with my daughters, helping my parents so they don’t have to leave their homes right now and Netflix (too much of this!)
What are you most grateful for?
I am most grateful for my family – always my rock!
